Located near Hemmet on the southern shore of Rynkøbing Fjord, Bork Vikingehavn is a relatively new Viking Age museum. Its buildings are based on a local find from around 900. During the summer months, it is possible to go on a trip in a Viking boat or rent one of the smaller Faroe boats, or meet craftsmen and traders.

Located near Hobro on Northern Jylland, the Fyrkat Viking Center is located right on the site of one of the four ring fortresses that were built during the reign of Harold Blue-Tooth.
About 1 km from the remains of the Fyrkat fortress, a Viking farm has been reconstructed, based on a Viking longhouse from around 980 AD which was excavated near Jelling.

Holstebro Museum is a museum of cultural history that was opened in 1931 in Lægård Mill. The new Holstebro Museum, which was designed by professor and architect Hanne Kjærholm, was inaugurated on 22 May 1991. The museum has approx. 1.400 sq m of permanent exhibition space, and a special exhibition room measuring 200 sq m. The Local History Archives for the Municipality of Holstebro constitute one of the museum´s departments.

Royal Jelling is the museum and information centre which tells the fascinating story of Jelling when it was at the heart of Danish History. Close to the very mounds that guarded their secrets for so long, Gorm the Old and Harald Blue-Tooth lived their daily lives in Jelling during the late Viking period. The two impressive mounds, Harald's runic stone and the lime-stone church are the visible results of the second building phase. A reconstruction of a market town dating back to the end of the 14th century, the Medieval Centre near Nykøbing Falster is a must for anybody interested in medieval history.
From May to September, you can visit the various traders and craftsmen and -women of the era, watch war machines being fired several times a day, or attend one of the many special events taking place during the season. During the rest of the year, the Centre offers courses and workshops on various subjects, and is involved in archeological research and experiments.

The National Museum in Copenhagen is Denmark's central museum of cultural history, comprising the histories of Danish and foreign cultures, alike.
Its permanent exhibitions include beautiful finds from Prehistoric times to the Middle Ages, among which a great collection of gold and silver finds from the Viking Age.
Admission to the museum is free as from January 1, 2006.

Ribe Viking Centre offers a unique experience and new insights into the Viking Age. It features life-size reconstructions of a Viking estate, some Viking Age Ribe town houses, as well as the Ribe Viking market. It is peopled with Vikings who you can observe and talk while they go about their various duties and crafts.

The Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde offers a unique opportunity to experience Viking ships, the Viking Age and life at sea. Its considerable boat collection contains five original 11th-century Viking ships, excavated from Roskilde Fjord in 1962, as well as other Nordic boats.
