Jels Vikingespil

The viking chronicles in Jels are enacted in Denmark's most beautiful open-air amphitheatre with a view of the Jels lakes. The amphitheatre was opened in the 1950's and has been in use ever since. An audience of about 1500 can be accomodated.
The viking chronicles are performed every summer and provide an exciting and colourful pageant with many spectacular scenes and fierce sword fights.

Icelandic Horses

Ribe Vikingecenter

You can meet the Icelandic horses every day at Ribe Vikingecenter, but in this particular week the Icelandic horse club Dreki, a group of very skilful riders, will be visiting to demonstrate how to ride and act around Icelandic horses.
Shows are scheduled at 12:00 and 16:00 each day.
